 IGN recently talked with X-Men franchise star Rebecca Romijn, who was doing promo for her new gig on tv’s Ugly Betty (good show!). When asked if she would return as Mystique for an X-Men 4, the actress said:
“Yeah, sure. We’ll see if they decide to do any more. I actually don’t know what they’re planning to do with it. I was signed on for three [movies], so my stint is more or less done at this point.” But how would Mystique return, after getting de-powered? “Well, you know, they can always turn these things back around!” said Romijn. ”It’s not like I was dead or anything.”

Ahh! Just what I was wishing for. I hope they make sure to make the movie all centered on Mystique i.e. as the main role and all. A crazy idea I thought of (please don't laugh) is, regardless of how she gets her powers back, is to make her the leader of the bad guys, basically kicking butt throughout the movie and then at the end she turns good and saves all mankind. I'm sobbing already. And I can't beleive I wrote that.
I'll keep my fingers crossed.
