2001 (10-25): Burberry Store Party
Plaid is still a hot fad in Hollywood, judging from the stars who turned out for the grand opening party for the new Burberry store here on Thursday. It's the first store in Beverly Hills for the British clothier, which dates back to 1856 but is clearly a hit among the chic set. From plaid cuffs (Rebecca Romijn) to skirts (Kate Beckinsale), many celebrities wore Burberry designs to the packed party,
hosted by Beckinsale, Rita Wilson and Rose Marie Bravo, Burberry's worldwide chief executive. The 8,000-square-foot store was previously occupied by Planet Hollywood.
