
2000 (05-25/06-06): Inaugural Laureus World Sports Awards
The world of sports, entertainment and music converge when Turner Network Television (TNT) televises the inaugural Laureus World Sports Awards on Tuesday, June 6 (2000, RRF), at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The awards ceremony, a gala to celebrate sporting excellence across all disciplines and all continents, has been established by leading international companies DaimlerChrysler and Richemont. The Laureus World Sports Awards will be taped in Monte Carlo on Thursday, May 25 (2000, RRF).
Jeff Bridges, Ashley Judd and Dylan McDermott will host the Laureus World Sports Awards television spectacular, with presenters including Samuel L. Jackson, Sylvester Stallone, Rebecca Romijn, Goldie Hawn, David Hasselhoff, Naomi Judd, Greg Kinnear, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Craig T. Nelson, Chuck Norris, Kurt Russell, John Stamos, Venus Williams and Dennis Franz. All Saints, Toni Braxton and Bon Jovi are scheduled to perform.
