1999 (10-09): MTV's regional model-search finals in Spring Hill

The girls oohed and ahhhed, pointed and giggled and shyly approached a hero, supermodel Rebecca Romijn, as she appeared at an MTV House of Style regional model search Saturday (10-09-1999, RRF) at a Spring Hill plantation.
Rebecca knows that feeling, but we'll get to that in a minute.
It wasn't her first trip to Middle Tennessee: The one-time Sports Illustrated cover girl and model/actress was here a couple of years ago for a fund-raiser at the Wildhorse Saloon.
She recalls liking the Nashville area and her visit to Opryland theme park.
Told that Opryland would soon be a megamall, Rebecca wrinkles her nose.
"Do you really need another mall around here?" she asks.
The Tennessee attraction she most wants to see: Dollywood. Like Shania Twain, Rebecca is completely enamored with Dolly Parton. And like Shania, Rebecca has yet to meet her.
"Ooooo," she coos, before squealing, "I just love her!"
