St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort & Spa -- the first resort to be built under the venerable St. Regis hotel brand, and the first new luxury property to open in California's Orange County in 16 years -- will celebrate its grand opening with an exclusive party melding the 100-year elegance of the five-star brand with the modern glamour of Hollywood.
The party, a Jeffrey Best creation, will begin with cocktails on the Sunset Terrace followed by a musical performance by tribute band Super Diamond at the pool, dinner, and a headline performance by platinum artist Chris Isaak.
Celebrities confirmed to date include: Dylan McDermott and Shiva Rose, Ray Romano, Angela Bassett, Albert Brooks, Rob Reiner, Julianna Margulies, Laura San Giacomo, Selma Blair, Stephen Baldwin, John Stamos and Rebecca Romijn, and many others.
Taking its distinct luxury appeal one step further, the St. Regis Monarch Beach has named HUMMER as the official vehicle of the resort's grand opening, with a fleet of 15 HUMMERs providing celebrity arrivals and transportation throughout the weekend. Guests and media will also be among the first to see HUMMER's new H2 SUV concept vehicle -- a modernized update of the HUMMER that keeps its best traits intact: the aggressiveness, rawness and toughness which attracted customers to the vehicle and earned it the status of an American icon.
