(104 total words in this text) (895 reads)
Still fresh from the midnight screening of Femme Fatale the night before, Rebecca Romijn and Antonio Banderas
presented the Grand Prize to Finnish director Aki Kaurismaki at the closing ceremonies of the Cannes Film Festival May 26th. Kaurismaki won for his film, The Man Without A Past. Rebecca and Antonio were introduced by Virginie Ledoyen as "the couple from the latest film of Brian De Palma, Femme Fatale." Roman Polanski, a director whose films have been a great influence on Brian De Palma's cinema, won the Palme d'Or for The Pianist, one of the most personal films of his career.
