Bebe stores, inc. today announced that super model-turned-actress Rebecca Romijn has been tapped to succeed Mischa Barton as the face of bebe launching for Summer 2007. "Rebecca Romijn is a strikingly beautiful, multi-talented star, who exudes a sexy and playful elegance that is the essence of the bebe woman," said Manny Mashouf, Founder and Chairman.
"Rebecca is very much like Mystique, the action character she has portrayed in the blockbuster X-MEN franchise," continued Mr. Mashouf. "She is fearless and self confident and these are qualities that resonate with women today." "bebe continues to push the limits on sexy," commented Greg Scott, Chief Executive Officer. "In that spirit, Rebecca embodies key attributes of the bebe brand - sensuality, sophistication and effortless beauty."
"I have always been impressed with the strong, sexy and confident image that reflects the bebe brand. I am thrilled and proud to be working with them," stated Romijn. The Summer 2007 campaign will launch Mid-April in national and regional magazines, outdoor advertising and direct mail. Romijn will make her first official front row appearance at the Fall 2007 COLLECTION bebe runway show which will take place in Los Angeles at the end of March.
